We figured it was time that Hookpoint took a jump to the next level. After two years of bringing you a steady 8 mixed features a month, we want to go bigger, better and cover more than ever before.

So as of next months issue, there will be a few changes, with a minimum of 16 quality features per month spanning shore, boat, lure, Ireland, destination angling and more!

In order to deliver on this expansion, we’ve had to put together a team of section editors. It’s a team we feel is unrivalled in experience and we cannot wait to bring you all of the quality content these 5 new editors will be curating and readying for the mag.

Carry on reading for a bit of info on the new sections, who the editor will be and other plans to follow.

Shore section:

Jansen Teakle is taking on the editing duties from the June issue for the shore section.

Shore angling has been the bread and butter of Hookpoint since it’s first issue 2 years ago, and whilst we serve the rest of the content areas, we’ll continue to commit to bringing you 3 quality shore features per month as part of the overall package. Still and forever free.

If you are interested in contributing to our shore section, you can contact Jansen by email on shore@hookpoint.co.uk

Boat section:

James Wigglesworth is taking on the editing duties from the June issue for the boat section.

We’ve never covered as much boat content as we would have liked, but James will now be ensuring there are a minimum of 3 high quality features per month from kayaks and sibs to independent boats and charters.

If you are interested in contributing to our boat section, you can contact James by email on boat@hookpoint.co.uk

Lure section:

Robin Howard is taking on the editing duties from the June issue for the lure section.

Lure fishing is arguably the most rapid growing form of angling in the UK. Robin will now be ensuring there are a minimum of 3 high quality features per month from covering all things lures, from catch reports to reviews.

If you are interested in contributing to our lure section, you can contact Robin by email on lure@hookpoint.co.uk

Ireland section:

Chris O’Sullivan is taking on the editing duties from the June issue for the Ireland section.

Chris has been with Hookpoint from the beginning, but we’ve always lacked a wider pool of content from Ireland. Chris will now be ensuring there are a minimum of 3 high quality features per month covering all sea angling exploits in Ireland.

If you are interested in contributing to our Ireland section, you can contact Chris by email on Ireland@hookpoint.co.uk

Travel section:

Sam Wadman is taking on the editing duties from the June issue for the travel section.

Destination angling may never be so popular as when travel gets opened back up. We’re all going to need to burn off steam somewhere.  Based from Panama,  Sam Wadman will now be ensuring there are a minimum of 3 high quality features per month covering all manner of overseas destinations.

If you are interested in contributing to our travel section, you can contact Sam by email on travel@hookpoint.co.uk
